During their residency at POT Kassel emerging artists from European School of Visual Arts will contribute sound, video, photo, text and/or performative content to “POT”. They will comment, pay homage to, critic, discuss, relate, or just contemplate the biggest art event in 2012: dOCUMENTA (13) Germany. Each of them will present a piece for one night each, in the Gallery space.

On journey to the goal you may discover that journey is the goal
July 30 – August 5th, 2012, Kassel
Eight students from Vilnius Academy of Arts travel to Kassel to see dOCUMENTA (13). Few months before boarding a bus they agree that journey will become a self reflecting process of their aims and means. Participants agree to communicate, to share, to reflect present time, observe and participate, question and initiate inner and outer changes of themselves and of a group as a whole.

Estonian Academy Art (EAA)
Minus One Day Diary
August 6th – 12th, 2012, Kassel
Emerging artists from Estonian Academy Art reflect on actions and being in Kassel during the time in August. Reflections could be site and time-specific showing thouths and findings in town, with the shift of one day. In classical and open way it documents the experience of Documenta. Participants hope to find themselves mentally somewhere else as where they started.
Rodchenko Moscow School of Photography and Multimedia
August 13th – 19th, 2012, Kassel
The Open Studio project initiated at the Rodchenko School of Photography and New Media in Moscow aims to find new expanded forms of education, where students from different universities teach their vision of certain artistic disciplines. During the residency at TOP e.V. in Kassel the group of students from Moscow will work on one of the main aspects – the language of contemporary art as a multifunctional political tool.

Fragments of Gestalt (FoG)
September 2nd – 9th, 2012. Kassel
FoG is envisioned as an exploratory expedition ascending to Kassel beginning of September in order to register the creative topology of the event (dOCUMENTA). Participants are expected to discover unequivocal specimens (of art), classify them in the periodic context and extract key communicative elements.
